The UK move to leave the European Union won't just diminish its own power - it diminishes another power too…

It has been widely circulated in the press that the move to leave the European Union will be detrimental to the UKs world standing and this is all very obvious: The EU is the world’s largest economy with one of the world’s biggest consumer markets, making it very important and so, the UK leaving obviously relieves the UK of any significance in the direction of this great bloc and so, reduces the global standing of this retiring power.
However, one great power has been generally neglected from thought.
The U.S, you may think is powerful in its own right, but analysts have generally ignored the significance of the UK leaving the EU will have on the world’s largest economy.
Perhaps this is because it is a tad un-nationalistic…
The UK, the US’ smaller cousin, is to some extent, a large extent really, pulled along by its greater master and the US has influence within the EU as a result.
Obviously, the US has sway in the EU with countries like Poland, Lithuania and Bulgaria (due to the ongoing threat of Russian invasion), but these countries are not the second largest economy in the bloc and although, they have veto rights, they don’t have nearly as many diplomatic points as the UK.
So, I mean, no one is suggesting that the US has lost its poll status as NO. 1…, but it has lost a significant amount of its pushing power in the world (or it is doing).
