The shadow work and pensions secretary has claimed that Britain needs a 'strong steel industry'.
'This surely shows the shadow ministers general incompetence', according to one economist.
Developed countries do not have steel industries and that really is it. Unless you want to lower the minimum wage, to make British workers competitive with their foreign competitors in the developing world, you will have to heavily subsidies industry, causing tax hikes, scaring investment away and generally causing the countries GDP to collapse.
So, it seems the work and pensions secretary is quite simply 'incompetent', according to one economist.
